I know 8.10 has made changes in how it handles bounce messages in that it's supposed to include the correct bounce message instead of just undeliverable to xxx.

Wow -- I'm surprised that Ipswitch didn't make this much more clear in the release notes. That's something that IMail has needed for a very long time.

I was wondering if anyone who is running 8.10 could send a test email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (this email address does not exist) and let me know what response you get back in the 'postmaster' message? This would be a big help in deciding if we are going to install 8.1 right away.

It does indeed work as expected:

undeliverable to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Body of message generated response:
554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) [0] - mta223.mail.scd.yahoo.com
