How does IMAIL generally function when the MX
record for the receiving domain is an IP addresss and not a hostname
?
I just had such a case and it turned out that it
was trying to connect to the A-Record and I was getting an unknown user error.
Why would it go to the A-Record and not just attempt to deliver to the IP
directly ?
Also, I did a lookup on dnsreport.com for the
domain in question and the following came up:
"could not connect
without GLUE or A Record"
What does this mean?
