Ronald,

The 1st thing everyone is going to wonder is your usage. What kind of
traffic and how much mail these 50K users are going to use/need.

The 2nd thing I am wondering is what training network has to do with setting
up the Imail server? Reason I am asking is due to which feature sets of
Imail u will be using. i.e. web calendaring, mail lists etc. OR are u
simply intending it for send/receive user email only?

Bryan

Subject: [IMail Forum] Service Survery

I work for the Navy. I'm currently developing a new Training Network with
Windows 2003 Server. I would like to setup Imail for approximately 50
thousand users. I was wondering:
How many servers do you suggest for this amount of users?
How many processors per server?
How much RAM per server?
How many simultaneous connections per server can I expect?
If any of you have setup clustering and have any hints, tips, or known
issues I may have?

A little background, I am currently using:
Dell Poweredge 2650
Dual P4 Xeon 2.8 GHz
2GB Ram
3x32GB SCSI Drives

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
