I do the converse of what you are trying to do. my imail server is my [EMAIL
PROTECTED]
SMTP Mailer.
The reasons is that it is all-in-one as opposed to the modular approach needed
to set up Sendmail on Linux boxes.

All my incoming mail is received by Linux servers running Postfix, and
amavis-new.
The Linux servers do the blockliisting, anti-spam and anti virus filtering, and
then relay to the Imail server, (or the client's server, as the case may be)
which every efficiently handles the SMTP, list serv, etc. functions.

This seems to me to be the much simpler set up for Linux challenged admins.

Yesterday's messages

  36298 received
  19945 delivered
    9989 bounced
   7673 rejected

Subject: [IMail Forum] Off Topic - Windows External Mail Gateway Software
coupled with Imail Server

We're having some issues since deploying a few linux servers as an
External Mail Host; i.e. all of our Imail servers pass outgoing messages
off to the linux servers, which then does the work of delivering. One
of the major problems is the difference in OS - most of our technicians
are more fluent in Windows, and problems with the linux servers are just
that much harder to handle for it. I'd like to utilize Windows software
to do this instead; does anyone have any suggestions on a Windows
program whose only purpose in life is to act as a [EMAIL PROTECTED] SMTP Mailer?

And no, I'm not a spammer. ;-)

Regards,
Jamie Price
