I am running iMail server with approx 500 users. I have just been tasked with adding a domain to handle 3000+ users. Can anyone tell me the amount of bandwidth I can expect to use with 3500+ users?

The easy (but inaccurate) answer would be that the bandwidth would be 7 times what you have now.

But what really matters is the amount of E-mail that users of that domain send/receive per day (and possibly the average size of those E-mails, especially if people like sending videos to each other). We have customers with 3,000 users that send/receive as little as 200 E-mails per day, and some that send/receive as many as 50,000 E-mails/day. The difference in bandwidth between the two is probably very big.
