Subject: [IMail Forum] SMTP TIME-OUT
HELP!
We are a medium size ISP , Imail
server V 8.05
From days ago, we are experiencing
some sort of strange problem.
We have an IBM Dual Processor 2.8
Ghz Xeon
Windows 2003 (Was Windows 2000 but
same problems) + Imail + Declude AV + F-prot (32 Bit)
This system is purely for our
Imail and about 200 Vhost's and 1 Primary Host for imail woth more than 13000
Users.
Email is getting stuck in the
queue, if you follow up the Logs for the emails, the last call for the process
is "Performing anti-spam checks' and if you go to the spam logs(Imail's
AntiSpam Feature), the process says that the email is spam-free, but there is
no rdeliver process created for the File in the queue.
So we had to install an alternate
POSTFIX server, purely for delivering the Imails Emails, by checking at the
imail server, the "Send all remote mail through gateway" option and pointing
to the POSTFIX machine. This worked fine when we were not using ANTI-SPAM
features of Imail, (But still have the queue stuck problem if we unchecked the
send all email through gateway, oonly thing is that in the logs, the email
never got an rdelivery process).
If you check the ALERT MANAGER via
WEB (8181 port) sometimes it says that SMTP is DOWN (TIMEOUT 60
SECS).
May it be a Hardware-NIC
Related Problem????
Even if debugging is turned ON at
SMTP LOGS, the log files show the same for the Email, gets stucked after SPAM
CHECKS.
