I'm looking for some input on a program my company recently wrote. We use the built in Imail anti-spam features, and got many calls from customers complaining of too many false positives (someone sent me an email and I didn't receive it, blah, blah, blah). Almost all of our customers use Outlook or Outlook Express, and (in general) aren't very tech savvy, meaning that they didn't want to have to log into the webmail in order to check their spam folders.
So, we wrote a program that, nightly, goes in and reads messages out of their spam box from the previous day and composes a nice looking email to each user. Then, from that email, the user can select to allow that sender always (which will write a rule at the user level to always deliver messages from a specific sender/domain to the main mailbox), and deliver the message (which will move it from the spam folder into the main folder), or deliver all messages from that sender. Is this something that we can refine and then offer as an Add-On to Imail? Is there a market for something like this, or has someone else already written it??
