Laura The Linksys BEFSR41 is one of the devices that Cisco has problems with.
Ver 1 & 2 (with the lights) have no current fixes (it also affects http traffic. Garunteed, it corrupts various packets going thru it. Ver 3, without the lights, works properly -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Laura Bhandari Sent: Thursday, July 15, 2004 6:53 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Microsoft Outlook and OE problems with attachments RE: "The solution, after a great deal of pain and testing turned out to be to upgrade the firmware in the NAT box (Linksys BESFR41)." I am using a Linksys router so I am beginning to suspect that may be the problem. I'm just not email/network savvy enough to understand all the ins and outs - but I pop my personal Road Runner email into the same outlook as my domain email that has the problem and I never, ever have any trouble with my RR email. Does that email not follow the same path - I mean, doesn't it go through that same router (our gateway) to get to my outlook? Also, if a user sends a local email - does it pass through the router or does it just stay locally on the network (the mail server and workstations are all behind the same router/gateway)? Because stuff gets corrupted that way too. For 2 years we had IMail on a machine outside the network and never had this problem - it only happened after we moved the email to within the network (and behind the linksys). And all that time IPswitch made me feel like I was the only one with this problem... sigh :( Thanks, ~Laura To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
