Does it use UDP or TCP to do the reverse lookups, helo, etc.
DNS almost exclusively uses UDP, although on rare occasions it can use TCP if both sides support it, but only when there is too much data to fit in a UDP packet.
Reverse DNS should almost always just use UDP (although *might* use TCP). HELO lookups are done via SMTP connections, which are always TCP.
Virtually nothing that used domain lookup is working for me, even though nslookup and most everything else works fine on that box. Do you know if they fixed anything from 8.05 to 8.12 that would help my imail work on a win2003 box where its ok on the existing win2000 box?
Unfortunately, I haven't been tracking the issue with DNS problems with IMail and Windows 2003.
