When we try to send mail from my another mail server to Imail sever on our network, we get this message: ---------------- The original message was received at Fri, 23 Jul 2004 01:59:38 -0600 from e3.digitalweb.net [208.38.36.15] ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (reason: 554 5.4.6 Too many hops) ----- Transcript of session follows ----- 554 5.4.6 Too many hops 26 (25 max): from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> via e3.digitalweb.net, to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ------------- Returned message details: -------------- Reporting-MTA: dns; e3.digitalweb.net Received-From-MTA: DNS; e3.digitalweb.net Arrival-Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 01:59:38 -0600 Final-Recipient: RFC822; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Action: failed Status: 5.4.6 Diagnostic-Code: SMTP; 554 5.4.6 Too many hops Last-Attempt-Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 01:59:38 -0600 ----------------- Originally we thought it was the E3 box having problems since we just recovered from a Major HW failure there. WE are now getting calls that this is happening from other hosts too. I don't even know that I will get any mail from this list however it has been trickling in. The E3 is at 208.38.36.15/24 and the Imail server for the digitalweb.net domain is at 208.38.36.133/24. I dunno about hops... it's on the same subnet . Maybe it's lonely and I should rack them beside each other. Any suggestions?
