Yes, you need to stop at least queue manager and probably smtp (?) services
to delete the TMP files. Or you may want to copy the files to another dir
first (so you can open them in notepad and see what they are before deleting
them??)

I tried deleting all tmp files in IMAIL/spool/web and there were some that
simply couldn't be deleted.  How do I delete those?  Do I have to shut down
that domain mail in order to remove those or shutdown mail server entirely?
I can an error "Cannot delete XXXX.tmp file - there has been a sharing
violation. The source or destination file may be in use"
Any other thoughts?
