I have the latest version of iMail but clients as complaining that they are getting emails with virus laden .exe files.
That's because:
We blocked file extensions with exe and scr a long time ago via an inbound rule:
IMail rules can't block files:
B~Content-Disposition\:\sattachment; \s*filename=".{0,100}\.exe"\s{1,10}:!BOUNCE!
This will catch some .exe attachments, but not all.
Does the latest version 8.13 no longer support this type of filtering?
IMail never did. You need an addon, such as Declude Virus, to block attachments properly. You can, as you know, use rules to block some (with some false positives). But to block all (with no false positives), you need code that is designed to look for attachments.
