I have been reading several lists where people are having a problem with the SMTP server service stopping in version 8.05. Has anyone found out the cause and/or a fix?
The only known cause I can recall is that IMail v8's anti-spam would cause the SMTP service to stop occasionally if certain DNSBLs were being used (such as AHBL). However, this issue was fixed somewhere along the line after 8.05.
