Does the SUSE solution cover multiple domain hosting on the mail server similar to the way IMail does it?
How about mailing lists and aliases and vacation messages.

As many of you already know, there are now numerous Linux distros that make installation of a Linux based server a fairly straight-forward, gui-driven proposition. These programs scale much better than iMail, can run on servers with much less resources, are more stable than anything running on the Windows platform, and best of all are FREE. SUSE and Mandrake have their own turnkey Groupware applications that cost less than $1,500 for unlimited users, and at least one of them is completely compatible with MS Outlook. You'll never have to learn to use a command line to install and maintain a Linux server, if it is set up properly.
If you value your time at $60/hr., and it takes you 100 hours to come up to speed on Linux/Postfix, you will save yourself thousands over ipswitch's prices. Plus, you can choose from a wider variety of anti-spam and anti-virus plugins, most of which are also free for unlimited users. If you are really hell bent on Groupware, you would be much better off taking a look at SUSE's OpenExchange product, which is Outlook compatible, has been tested for over a year, is well documented, well (and much less expensively) supported (now, by Novell), and takes very little Linux knowledge to master. If you don't need the Groupware goodies, you can get the SUSE base install for free, which includes a mail server, web client, web server, DNS server and thousands of other free programs, plugins and utilities. If you ever needed a reason to start looking into Linux, this is it.
