Bill,

Ipswitch has increased the price overnight by factor 10 and we can only assume that some calculation let you come to the conclusion that this is usefull for your company.
Question: Why not increase it by factor 100? I'm sure there will by at least 1% of current customers ready to follow you.

Our current problem:
We can't follow the current pricing step. To be 100% clear there is NO WAY. As I can understand from your message you still try to convince us current IMail customers for ICS! Right?
Furthermore we can't be realy sure that Ipswitch will not find some enjoyment in the "factor-100-idea"

The real problem: (at least my opinion)
Ipswitch has made some BIG mistakes and errors last years by introducing underfunctional and overpriced features already solved much bether by third party add-on's. Instead of completing important features several users asked for, you've had the ignorance to do other things. Customers has decided to not pay for, so why they should pay for now? Do you realy want to costringe as many customers as possible to pay for YOUR errors?

To be more clear:
Ipswitch: Do you consider IMail, IM and Virusfilter functional and competitive software?
Yes? So why not let decide your customers? Why costringe them to buy the entire package even if you know from current sale stat's that most (I'l bet over 95%) of your current customers doesn't need all of this modules?
If there are other reasons why not publish them? I want to know whit what people I do business and what's their intentions.

Nevertheless thanks for your quick note but I believe many customers are expecting some clear answers to FAQs posted this days on this list.

Markus

Subject: [IMail Forum] A Quick Note from the Ipswitch Executvie Team

A quick note from the Ipswitch Executive Team:

We really do appreciate the input we’re receiving from IMail users about ICS.  We understand that some of you are unhappy about our decision, and a variety of suggestions are being considered.  Ipswitch is trying hard to balance the needs of both the current user base and the new users we are now attracting to ICS.

Everyone’s situation is a bit different, and some misconceptions have been posted to the Forum.  If you have questions about your particular circumstances, pricing and functionality details, ideas for us to consider, or would just like to chat, the Ipswitch Executive team would be happy to hear from you.  eMail and blogging have their place, but sometimes telephones are more effective.

At the end of the day, we hope to convince you that ICS is a good thing, because it ensures an aggressive development future for IMail, and protects your investment in Ipswitch messaging infrastructure.  We’ve spoken to many people who have downloaded ICS, and they are extremely pleased with it.
