But I do have a question about Declude AV, how often does it get updated? Can the update be configured daily, weekly, etc, or maybe it get's triggered from a message from your system?

It's not that hard. :) Most of our customers update their virus definitions every few hours. It's done automatically; there's no need to anything (you don't even need to stop/restart the SMTP service <G>).

Is there a major AV product behind it?

Yes -- all major AV products can be behind it (with the exception of Norton/Symantec -- they won't even let you run their software from a batch file or script). In fact, you can have up to 5 different AV products behind it if you like (with the Pro version). For example, we have a number of customers who use McAfee, F-Prot, and ClamAV -- which offers a lot of diversity with a "big name" product, a lesser-known but proven product, and the one freeware AV program that can work on Windows. With several AV programs, you start detecting new viruses more quickly. I've been showing the link http://itmanagement.earthweb.com/columns/executive_tech/article.php/3316511 a lot lately, which shows how long a number of AV companies took to get virus definitions updated.
