Right there is where he said there will be updates or "enhancements". Regarding the SA, you get upgrades with it. So tech support saying upgrade if you have an SA is a reasonable answer, and standard practice. The question now is how viable will the product be if it can not be purchased separately, only upgraded through an SA. Hopefully they'll come back with a response that it can be purchased separately from ICS. That way everyone gets a choice of (1) staying with their existing IMail solutions and being assured of upgrade/scale out paths, (2) upgrading to ICS, or (3) migrating to an alternate mail solution. However, I do agree with you about the lack of attention to known issues with the product. Where did he say anything about "updates". IMail is dead. There are "known issues" even with the latest release that are very serious in my opinion, but they've not been taken care of. What would lead you to believe that Ipswitch is going to spend a single dollar on IMail? What benefit would it be to Ipswitch to do so? So you get your Service Agreement and call about a problem. You know what answer you'll get from them? Upgrade to the latest version.
