If you have spam logging enabled and your white list is working you should
find lines like what you see below in your spam log:
11:09 01:19 SMTPD(8bbd189f00660d85) [notaspam.com] in white list.

You could also check in your normal system for the email address that is
being blocked or let through and verify that it actually got to your email
server.

If it's something that is being blocked, maybe copy the IP and/or that
unique routing number like the "SMTPD(8bbd189f00660d85)" above and search
for it in the spam logs. At least that way you may get some idea of why it's
not doing what it should be doing.

Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Spam Filters and White Lists

I have been having that problem for as long as I can remember. I spend time
every day trying to add URLs and Phrases to the spam filters that are
already in there, yet the messages still get through. I've confirmed there
are no IPs or email addresses whitelisted, etc.

If 8.13 will fix this, wonderful! But, when the heck is IpSwitch going to
offer a fix for the web messaging template problem regarding the TO address
and REPLIES? They released these templates SEPTEMBER 2nd. IT'S BEEN OVER
TWO MONTHS, IPSWITCH! WHERE IS THE SUPPORT WE'RE PAYING FOR? 90% of my
users use Webmail and I cannot upgrade until IPSWITCH FIXES THIS ISSUE. In
the mean time I've got customers pissed off about bad spam filtering.

To re-explain this problem for the 50th time, the TO line in web messaging
looks like this:

  To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: test

And if you reply all, the message compose screen has a mangled two address
that includes the subject.

  [EMAIL PROTECTED]: test,<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

One would think this would be a pretty easy thing for Ipswitch to fix. I'm
not one that gets upset easily, but I am FUMING at this lack of support
(support told me there was no ETA on this fix). If I had a critical bug
like this and didn't fix it for 2 months, I'd be out of business.

:-(

I actually have the opposite problem. I have Black Listed Domains that
are still getting through to the user. I was told to move to 8.13. I will
upgrade within the next week.

Note: My email address has changed. It is now [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have been having this issue as well, seems that a few of my white-listed
domains are still being filtered by the anti-spam table and Domain Black
List.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Spam Filters and White Lists

I know this topic has been covered, but we have some emails being
filtered by our Imail spam filters even though the addresses sending the
emails are listed in our Trusted Senders area. I thought this issue was
supposed to have been fixed in 8.13.

The subject line contains X-IMail-SPAM-URL-DBL

If an address has been added to our trusted sender list, and it sends an
email with links and paths to domains that ARE in our URL DBL list,
should this message get through?

Thanks.
