Thank you all for your input. I am currently testing the Declude Product which raises a question in my mind. Does anyone know what AV products out there play well with others? I know McAfee wants me to remove all the other AV products on the box before installing theirs and e-trust wants me to remove some av products before I install the e-trust product.
Actually, should be no known conflicts -- as far as Declude Virus is concerned.
Specifically, AV programs have 2 main components: an on-access scanner (a service that constantly scans files as they are saved to the hard drive), and an on-demand scanner (that scans files only when you tell it to). It is recommended to never have more than one on-access scanner running at the same time, since they require special hooks to access files as they are being saved to the hard drive. However, on-demand scanners are different -- they can just open files the same way that other programs do, so there should be no conflict. Making it even better, while Declude Virus will allow multiple virus scanners to be running at the same time, it makes sure that no two virus scanners are scanning the same files at the same time.
So in theory, there should never be a problem with multiple virus scanners and Declude Virus, just so long as you disable the on-access portion of all of them (or all but one).
