I would get a copy of FileMnn from sysinternals.com (it's free) and see what is operating on that file (which executable) and go from there

I would change the password to the mailbox to be absolutely sure the end-user doesn't have a machine somewhere pulling the email.  Some users lie...<grin>

Subject: [IMail Forum] Unusual problem

Hi All,

We are running IMail 6 on win2k box.  We have around 300 mail domains setup on our server sharing a single IP.
Since last week one of the mail box on one domain stopped receiving the mails..  Our troubleshooting and actions were as under:

1.  We tested sending test mail to this account.  And found the mail was not received on this ID.  We didn't receive any 'Undeliverable' mail for this.

2.  We found out from the logs that the mail was delivered to the ID w/o any error reported.  So we setup an autoreply to this ID and tried sending multiple test mails.  For every mail we received an autoreply.

3.  We suspected that the pointer file for the main mail box may be corrupted.  So we deleted the main.uid.  Now we could see the test mail received on this ID.  But when we checked the mail box after 10-15 mins., the mail box was empty.  We made sure from our client that the mail box is not configured on any of the mail clients. When we send multiple mails to this ID it shows up only one. And again 0 mails in the mail box after few mins.

4.  So as a next resolve we deleted the mail box and recreated it but the problem remained as it is.  So we put the store and forward information on this box and found that all the mails were received on the second mail ID properly.  But the recreated mail box doesn't show up a single mail.

Can anybody pls. guide us on this?  What should be done to get this problem solved?

Thanks and Regards,
