I'm having a problem and can't for the life of me figure out what's causing it. I have two Imail installations, 7.13 and 8.14, both of which deliver all mail to an outbound postfix gateway using the gateway's IP and "0 retries before sending to gateway" selected.
The 7.13 can blast out mail all day long to the gateway with no problem. With the 8.14 however mail starts immediately building up in the spool folder. The box keeps delivering but it just doesn't deliver ALL the mail. I can't find any errors in either my PF or Imail log files. Now, for the weird part...when the files build up in the spool folder I can let 5,000 messages (10,000 files) get built up and if I stop/start queue manager or do a "view queue" "send all" Imail can blast 5,000 messages out in less than 15 seconds. When this happens my PF box will go from 2-3 inbound processes to 30 or 40 and takes the mail with no problem. I've tried adjusting queue mgr settings to 50 delivery and 30 retry processes down to 15 delivery and 5 retry and nothing changes. I don't think it's hardware related because the box isn't very taxed and it has no problem delivering if I sit there and click "send all" all day. Other info: Never more than 2-3 SMTP32 processes Running Declude Both machines using same DNS server /overflow stays empty 300k msgs /day with 20k/hr peaks Any suggestions? -- Best regards, David mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
