Hey Greg,

Last night I ran a chkdsk /F on all partitions and it did find and repair
errors on my f: drive which is where my spool folder lives, however I'm
still having the same problem of getting an "MX connect fail" from my
internal server to my hosting server. This only seems to be with virtual
hosts on the Hosting server that I'm having issue with.

Any other thoughts?

Troy

Subject: [IMail Forum] MX Connect Fail errors to old mail server

Hello All,

I've got 2 Imail servers up and running, one is new for our internal company
use and the other is our old hosting environment. Things have been just fine
until this week when I started getting undeliverable errors from my internal
account to accounts on the hosting server. Here's a snip of the log:

SMTPD (1B2201D2) [208.251.220.5] E:\IMail\spool\D87b61b2201d24aa9.SMD 10882
SMTP (2592) processing E:\IMail\spool\Q87b61b2201d24aa9.SMD
SMTP (2592) Trying asert-llc.com (0)
SMTP (2592) MX connect fail "208.255.176.2"
SMTP (2592) requeuing E:\IMail\spool\Q87b61b2201d24aa9.SMD R0 T1 SMTP (2592)
finished E:\IMail\spool\Q87b61b2201d24aa9.SMD status=3

Now, the first thing I did was try sending an email to a few different user
accounts on the hosting server. All failed except one which is to an account
on the Primary Host of the mail server. All others are virtual hosts. Any
email I send from my internal server to a Virtual Host account is returned
as undeliverable.

Next, I tried to telnet to the Hosting server from my internal server as was
able to connect and go through all the commands to send an email, however
the email was not delivered. Hmm..

I've not made any changes to either email server. Can anyone provide some
suggestions on what else to check here?
