Its time I setup exchange2aliases for two systems for which we are using Imail as a gateway for exchange. I'm a little confused, so any guidance would be appreciated.
Right now the MX for one of these domains points to mail.example1.com where an A Record points mail.example1.com to our Imail box. An entry in the Hosts file on that server points mail.example1.com to the IP of the Exchange box (NTSBS). There is no host for this domain configured in Imail. First off If I implement Exchange2Aliases does this setup remain or need to change? Second, I'm not too sure on the syntax for calling exchange2aliases...I see the example: Cscript exchange2aliases.vbs mail.broadleaf.local LDAP://192.168.1.1/cn=users,dc=broadleaf,dc=local broadleaf.local exchange.broadleaf.local And am a little confused on the syntax of all this and what names go where Assume: domain = example1.com MX of example1.com points to Mail.example1.com Mail.example1.com points to 1.2.3.4 (IMAIL BOX) Imail box Host File entry mail.example1.com points to 4.5.6.7 (MSSBS Exchange Box) (currently no dns entry for this server) MSSBS Domain = example2.local servername = server-04 Thanks In Advance.
