Subject: [IMail Forum] Error 0c800ccc19 not consistent

On friday a few of my users started having timeouts, not because they're missbehaving, but a POP3 timeout (error 0x800ccc19).  It started with VPN users which I thought as normal but then a user from one of our branches with a desktop had the problem.

I searched the forum archives but I only found SMTP timeouts and no resolution.

What's happening is the user, using outlook 2000 or OE 6 checks their messages and either it starts downloading the first messages and it gets stuck or after a minute it timesout with this message:

A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. (Account: 'Account name', POP3 Server:'Server name', Error Number: 0x800CCC19)

Imail log file says the logon was successful and no errors (log settings ar debug and verbose are checked)

no errors on the event log for the server

I get no entries if I turn OE logging on

Microsoft KB is not really helpful on this.

One curious thing is that after closing and openning the program, they get some messages but it doesn't work all the time.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Elliott
