Thanks for those.  I have done some work in the past calling 3rd party apps 
from .Net.

I have also seen the command line utilities at:
http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/helperapps.html#Administration

I know that you can do a certain amount if you use Access or SQL as the back 
end database, but unfortunately that isn't possible in our case.

If that was possible it would be a much better option and well worth pursuing.


The key for me is to be able to:
1. Create/Delete/configure a virtual domains
2. Create/delete/configure users
3. Create/delete/configure aliases

At the end of the day the first one is the most important - once done we can 
always go in via the web interface to do the rest.



The other bit of fun that I need to look at is to create a mail handler in 
Net to process emails sent to a specific address, but that's a different 
story ;-)
