Hi All - Recently, I upgraded a few servers that were still running iMail 8.05 to iMail 8.15HF2 due to the recent vulnerabilities found. All is well, except on one server the Queue Manager server is pretty much non-functional. The service itself runs, but it doesn't actually do anything - messages just pile up in the queue, until it does a manual queue run every 60 minutes, or until I restart the Queue Manager service.
When I restart the service, I will see a lot of stuff like this: 20050602 004717 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Queue manager started 20050602 004717 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Adding Queue file C:\IMail\spool\Qaac800030066f210.SMD 20050602 004717 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Adding Queue file C:\IMail\spool\Qaaca00060036f215.SMD 20050602 004717 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Adding Queue file C:\IMail\spool\Qaacc00060032f218.SMD 20050602 004717 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Adding Queue file C:\IMail\spool\Qaad000080030f21b.SMD 20050602 004717 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Adding Queue file C:\IMail\spool\Qaad2000100b6f21c.SMD 20050602 004718 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Adding Queue file C:\IMail\spool\Qaad7000500a6f227.SMD 20050602 004718 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Adding Queue file C:\IMail\spool\Qaadd000014f8896b.GSC 20050602 004718 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Adding Queue file C:\IMail\spool\Qaadd00060066f230.SMD 20050602 004718 127.0.0.1 SMTP (0000000000000000) Info - Adding Queue file C:\IMail\spool\Qaaef000200def243.SMD In following just one of the messages, here's what occurs: 20050602 004503 127.0.0.1 SMTPD (aaef000200def243) [2.1.2.1] connect 2.7.1.2 port 64847 20050602 004503 127.0.0.1 SMTPD (aaef000200def243) [2.7.1.2] ehlo b.com 20050602 004504 127.0.0.1 SMTPD (aaef000200def243) [2.7.1.2] Mail from:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 20050602 004504 127.0.0.1 SMTPD (aaef000200def243) [2.7.1.2] RCPT to:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 20050602 004505 127.0.0.1 SMTPD (aaef000200def243) [2.7.1.2] C:\IMail\spool\Daaef000200def243.SMD 3562 20050602 004505 127.0.0.1 SMTPD (aaef000200def243) performing antispam checks And then, it just sits until I restart the queue manager. The spam logs just show this: 06:02 00:45 SMTPD(aaef000200def243) [00006012] <V.com> BLACKLIST: connecting to service (spamhaus:*:sbl.spamhaus.org) 06:02 00:45 SMTPD(aaef000200def243) [00006012] <v.com> BLACKLIST: 218.79.1.216 was not found on list (spamhaus:*:sbl.spamhaus.org) I've tried upping the listen pipes to 20 on the server, but it has had no effect - messages still sit in the queue, until the queue manager service is restarted - or until I "retry" queue run occurs (I currently have this set to 10 minute retry to keep mail moving ...) I've also tried completely clearing the queue of everything but log files, while all services were stopped, but the problem persisted. I have tried going back to 8.10, and re-applying the 8.15 and 8.15HF2 hotfix, still broken. When I run filemon and just log queuemgr.exe related file access, the process does absolutely nothing while mail is piling up. FWIW, I am not using LDAP at all - service is disabled. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be much appreciated - I am really at a loss here, even after poking at this for the past 3 hours. -Jay To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
