Yep...Windows chkdsk.  You will want to run it with the /F option, or possibly the /R or /X options.

Once the disk is fixed you should be able to delete/restore files as necessary.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Corrupted main.mbx

Hi,

We had an unexpected power outage and my mail server crashed.

When I got it powered back on, I received the following message for two users mailboxs:

D:\imail\users\<nameofuser>\main.mbx is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the chkdsk utility.

Pardon the silly question, but is this the chkdsk utility in windows???? Is there something special in IMAIL the error is referring to?

I am unable to delete the main.mbx or recreate the account due to the corruption. I am attempting to restore from backup but I continue to get the error.

Suggestions?

Running win2k server and Imail 7.15

Thanks,
Sharyn
