That's correct. The IMAP protocol expects a tag before every command given. So, change it to eg. A001 rename INBOX foo et voila. > S: list() "."INBOX <---- this still exists?? Yes, renaming INBOX is a special case. INBOX is a folder that should _always_ exist. So when you rename it, the content of INBOX will be in the mailbox you renamed it to and INBOX will be a new/empty mailbox. grtz, Martijn
