I have question for imap and kmail 1.5 (kde 3.1.0) Kmail send to imap server NOOP for every 15 second. Is it obligate to keeep connection to server (I thik that imap server keep connection for 3 min if haven't login and 30 min with login in imap)
Kmail should use the IDLE feature.
... unless its own IP address is an RFC1918 address and the server's is a real one.
A 1918-crippled client accessing a non-crippled server must expect that the TCP connection goes through some form of NAT, and that the TCP connection may die silently if IDLE is used.
