Perhaps a minor typo in the rfc, or it might be intentional but in that case, it's ambiguous.
rfc3501, page 69, first paragraph: If it is not feasible for the server to determine whether or not the mailbox is "interesting", or if the name is a \Noselect name, the server SHOULD NOT send either \Marked or \Unmarked. page 86: mbx-list-sflag = "\Noselect" / "\Marked" / "\Unmarked" ; Selectability flags; only one per LIST response The first implies that \Marked or \Unmarked SHOULD NOT be used with \Noselect. But the grammar says it's not allowed.
