In IMAP, deleting a message simply marks that message for removal by a
subsequent expunge step. This means, among other things, that you can
undelete a message as long as the undeletion occurs prior to an expunge.

Most clients put the expunge operation under an "expunge" or "purge"
command, button, or menu item. Look for it in your client.
