May I guess that at least one of these methods has shown some kind of error message? :-) Shooting in the dark, my best guesses are: - missing python-dev - missing libxslt1-dev (and libxslt1, obviously) - missing libxml2-dev (and libxml2, obviously) I'd add "missing gcc compiler", but on a Gentoo... :-) Other candidates are some python extras: SQLAlchemy, SQLObject, formencode, python-libxml2, and sqlalchemy-migrate (but these should be handled by our installer). Let me know if it fix the problem.
