when forwarding a mail (in body text) attached files are not
forwarded. What is the reason for that? Or is there any option i am
missing?
As you said, you are forwarding body text only.
To forward the mail with attachements i have to download and
re-upload (which is annoying) or forward the entire message as
attachment (which seems to be not compatible with the skills of
most mail-users, at least i get a lot of complaints when forwarding
as attachemt)
There's no such thing as forwarding with attachments. Forwarding
means to send the ENTIRE message via message/rfc822. "Forwarding
body text only" breaks this paradigm by allowing a more reply-like
behavior to body text, but it is not true forwarding.
hi,
OK i understand. But if you are breaking the paradigm anyways wouldn't
it be better to behave like most other mail clients? The expected
behavior (for most useres) when hitting the forward button seems to
be: add the original text in body and attach all other parts as
attachment, just like outlook et.al. does.
