I think about a possible workarand:
- Forward a mail to an alias of myself would allow me to add notes
- The mails to the alias could be stashed in a special folder
(without cluttering the regular inbox etc.)
- View Thread would allow me to look up the note from the original mail
View Thread will only work if the mails are in the same mailbox.
Threading doesn't work across mailboxes on the server side - this is
an IMAP limitation (see RFC 5256).
