It was an intentional change, to fix performance problems in some corner
cases.

Is this case rare enough for you that adding some sort of hacky encounter
search linked from the patient dashboard?

Hi,

Is it intentional that OpenMRS 1.7.2 only shows the most recent 100
encounters per patient?

Using OpenMRS at the Point-of-Care for a couple of years leads to several
cases where we have more than this. But these encounters are no longer
accessible.
