Just picked this off the DHIS developers' list. Anyone running OpenMRS on Ubuntu (like us) should pay attention.

The Sun (Oracle) version of Java will be removed from Ubuntu (from the partner repositories), and during your next system update, it will _remove_ these packages, which means DHIS 2 will stop working. The simplest solution to fixing this, is to install the openjdk instead (available since 10.4 at least), it should work fine, but there might be some performance issues for now. The other solution is to get the binaries directly from http://java.sun.com and install them locally, but then you are responsible for updating the version yourself.
