Thanks, Roger. After I uncheck the offending Web Application Runner I
was able to install the Maven Extras. I also checked out the openmrs
source via the New->Projects->SVN->Checkout Projects from SVN and
provided the svn.openmrs.org and it checked out the source tree just
fine. I also went back to the Checkout Maven Projects from SCM and in
the drop down svn did show up.
I came from the fairly static backend C environment so I need to quickly
adjust to the fast changing, hit-and-miss webapp development
environment. Getting ready for the steep learning curve, as I was told...;-)
Thanks again,
Charles Chou

You need the followingEclipse add-ins from the marketplace: subclipse,
maven, maven subclipse integration, run jetty run
Re blank dropdowns: When you do your first import, use Import from SVN,
but just go far enough to identify the OpenMRS SVN repository
(http://svn.openmrs.org), then continue via Import Maven Project using Source
Control. Now the dropdown will be populated. You will have to install a
number of adapters when you download projects for the first time, just go with
the flow.

Subject: [OPENMRS-IMPLEMENTERS] Developer Setup
Hi,
I followed the steps in the Developer Setup Guide and installed Eclipse
IDE for Java EE (windows 64-bit) and Subclipse update_1.4.x and Maven without
problems. However when I tried to install Maven Extras I get the following
error:
Software being installed: Web Application Runner 0.1.0.201105060943
(com.sonatype.m2e.webby.feature.feature.group 0.1.0.201105060943)
Missing requirement: In-situ Web Application Launcher for M2Eclipse
0.1.0.201105060943 (com.sonatype.m2e.webby 0.1.0.201105060943) requires 'bundle
org.eclipse.m2e.core [0.13.0,0.14.0)' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: Web Application Runner 0.1.0.201105060943
(com.sonatype.m2e.webby.feature.feature.group 0.1.0.201105060943)
To: com.sonatype.m2e.webby [0.1.0.201105060943]
I then proceeded to check out the openmrs source from repository but in the SCM
Url drop down the list is empty. I cannot select svn to continue. Any ideas
what could have caused this?
Thanks!
Charles Chou
