Dear Steve,

Under the "Mac OS Options" tab of the Distribution Builder window you can
browse for a file from which to include resources. Use this to choose the
file with the icon resources you want. (Of course this will copy any other
resources in the file as well.)  You then have to use ResEdit to set your
app's Custom Icon property to true.

You can also copy and paste an icon into your completed distribution app's
Get Info window.

Granted, not slick.  Maybe I'm missing something too.
