I once front-ended a filemaker database using Hypercard, Revolution didn't
exist then,  but it would still be possible.  The database had to be fool
proof and Filemaker couldn't and still can't provide the flexibility of
Rev/HC/MC/etc.  I'd do the same thing today.  I used an applescript on the
Filemaker server machine to talk to the various fields and in turn
applescript on each client embedded in Hypercard to talk via program sharing
to the servers applescript.   Of course this assumes you're using Mac!
