Mike Yates is concerned that the TYPE command, under certain circumstances, can and does result in a system crash. It may be worth noting that you can "roll your own" handler which should (hopefully) avoid whatever nastiness the TYPE command runs afoul of, and here's one possible way to do it:
on TypeItOut TheText,TheFld
...various stuff
end TypeItOut
Thanks, but it's a lot easier just to incorporate 'select the text of ..' before the type command.  My main concern was with the reference in the dictionary - the 'bug' in Metacard/Revolution that causes the hang-up if you DON'T incorporate it is more of a curiosity for the Metacard/Revolution team in case it is a signal of something worth removing, but I appreciate that they will always have mountains of minor bugs to climb, so it can't have high priority.
