Yes it's true that too many Americans consider spelling checkers to be an
adequate substitute for language education.  Just the same, if you ship any
application that allows text entry, sooner or later you'll receive requests
from around the world for a least a modest spelling checker feature.

Given the tediousness of compiling useful word lists, it makes sense to at
least put this on a Nice To Have a list, or maybe have someone manage an
open source version.
