[...] The norm package can be downloaded from your closest CRAN site. Then run prelim.norm, makeparam.norm, em.norm setting maxits=1,2,.. and then getparam.norm I would prefer not to forward my code and it doesn't give anything different to the norm results. The difference between the norm package and Prof Schafer's text is where I would like someone's help. Perhaps Prof Schafer has used a faster algorithm. Cheers Ross Darnell
