If this doesn't pan out (no pun intended), what are the current recommendations for multiple imputation in a multilevel situation, given that I don't have the expertise to "roll my own'? I don't *think* we have any missing data at level two -- how much harm is done by imputing at level one, disregarding the clustering? I'm sure the answer is "it depends," but any suggestions would be helpful.
