Paul, This is not exactly what you're looking for, but it may be helpful.
http://support.sas.com/rnd/app/examples/ets/garchimpute/index.htm It uses PROC MIANALYZE with PROC MODEL, which is very similar to SYSLIN. Indeed MODEL can do almost everything SYSLIN does. The key is to transform the OUTEST= dataset of PROC MODEL into a TYPE=EST dataset and rename some variable. I assume it will be the same for SYSLIN. Note that this requires SAS V9. Hope that helps.
