OK, there is now some useful test data at the domain "dmptest.invalid" on srv1.fecyk.ca. It's not all cleaned up, but I removed all of the bogus top-level domains and made it through to the "m" domains in .com which includes Microsoft, AOL, Excite, Lycos, Mindspring, Hotmail and other popular domains used in forgeries.
There are a lot of "allow" records for domains operated by spammers. If spammers want to create DMP records they'll have to pay for and administer a domain anyway. Besides, dmpstats wasn't meant to refuse mail, only to log DMP's impact. If you were running the dmpstats plugin and gathered information for me to populate this test zone, thank-you for your efforts. I now ask you to run the plugin again after using these new settings in dmpstats.ini and clearing any log file you might have left: [config] logfile=C:\dmpstatslog.txt (or target of your choice) dns=srv1.fecyk.ca altdomain=dmptest.invalid allowhelo=yes allownondmp=yes If you want to take a copy of dmptest.invalid, you may zone-transfer from 206.45.235.30, or better yet just ask me for a copy and I'll send it to you zipped. Trust me, you want it zipped as unzipped it's over 5 MB. I imagine going half way through .com will cause a few "deny" and "fail" entries to appear in the log now, with corresponding reductions in total bandwidth logged. It's time to see just how much is saved, or not. -- PGP key (0x0AFA039E): <http://www.pan-am.ca/[EMAIL PROTECTED]> What's a PGP Key?
