There are a couple of options you could choose from. I use the
BlackMagic Video Recorder (www.blackmagic-design.com). Or, you could
consider the EyeTV from Elgato.
There is yet another option which is a 500 GB external hard disk from
Iomega which records directly from the TV. The model is the ScreenPlay
Multimedia Pro. There are similar devices from LaCie, Western Digital
etc. I don't use it, but I think it's the most convenient option
because you just need to plug the hard disk into the TV - you don't
need the computer at all. It even comes with a remote so that you can
play back your shows.
