Hi Harpal, Something similar happened to me when I installed the latest Samsung printer/scanner software. I ultimately rolled back to my previous version, and the scanner feature came back. The latest Samsung version with the problem is 2.5, and the one which works correctly with OS X 10.7.5 is 2.00.
I'm not sure how you'll find this software rev though, I had to roll the update back using Time Machine.
