In order to use FaceTime on your iPhone you have to go the contacts app and select the contact and then when you scroll down to bottom, among the buttons is "FaceTime". Tapping on that will start a FaceTime call.
Or if a phone call is in progress between 2 iPhones you get the FaceTime option along with speaker, keypad and others. Regards Sai Pranav Y.
