Same here , Is there no quality control which avoids such a mirror ? Can't it be removed from the list ? I recently found out that its not specific to my area ( andhra pradesh) but even COEP , pune students faced the same errors with mirror. I don't think everyone in India need to ping that mirror get an error and then proceed to another mirror :( PS: My knowledge of yum inner workings is poor .
