If you look at almost any open source project's page, the license is
either on the front page (as a link) or in the FAQ.

Developers and people wanting to make their own distribution care a
lot about licenses, which is why it is important to know. It sucks
that we do have to care, and that there isn't a "one true license,"
but until that day I see nothing wrong with having it there.

Why would OpenSolaris be rolled into SunSolve and why would a
community issue be addressed on a Sun official website?

Community issues should be addressed on the community website.
